Joseph Cardello spent 25 years at some of the leading global financial firms in New York, London, and Asia including JPMorgan, Barclays, Moore Capital, and Commonwealth Bank of Australia advising clients, building businesses, and managing portfolios. He holds an M.A. in Economics from New York University and a B.S. in Finance from Merrimack College.
Joe is passionate about helping others through coaching, mentoring, and charitable work. He spent 13 years as Chair of the Finance Council at Assumption Church in Westport, CT, he currently serves on the board of Staples Tuition Grants and Merrimack College’s Leadership Council. He manages the Augustus Cardello Memorial Scholarship which supports scholarships for students in financial need. Joseph and his wife Michelle raised their three children in London, England and Westport, CT.
Peter Grave began his career as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch and most recently was Corporate Client Group Director at Morgan Stanley. He helps business professionals and families navigate important changes in their work and life circumstances. Peter is passionate about empowering families to be confident in all aspects of their finance and investments through proper planning, strategy, and simplification of complex concepts.
He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado. He is active with the Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA Alumni Council. Peter and his wife are raising their 2 young children in Weston, CT.
Amanda Gilman brings a wealth of experience in balance sheet management, asset/liability efficiency, quantitative analysis, and strategic planning. She was formerly a Managing Director at Sandler O'Neil + Partners, L.P. in New York in the Balance Sheet Analysis and Strategy Group. She also worked as an analyst in mutual funds at Eaton Vance management. She holds a B.S. Finance from Merrimack College.
Amanda actively mentors and advises students. She currently serves on the Merrimack College Investment Fund Advisory Committee. She regularly enjoys travel, fitness, and she consistently raises money to help fight Breast Cancer.
Howard Greenberg has spent 26 years building financial market relationships with Royal Bank of Scotland, BNP Paribas and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. He was tasked with building relationships; advising clients by understanding their needs and assisting them in growing their businesses. He holds a B.S. in Economics from Northeastern University.
Howard has spent a number of years on the board of youth sports organizations and his local Temple, always with the goal of creating a sense of positivity and progress. He spends much of his free time coaching, in fitness activity, or volunteering in the community. Howard and his wife Mindy raised their three children in Livingston, NJ.
Conor Keenan began working as an intern at August Wealth Advisors in the summer of 2020 and has since joined the team full time as an Associate in August 2021. Conor is a recent graduate of Purdue University where he obtained his B.S. in Financial Counseling and Planning. He is currently rotating through the August Wealth Graduate Training Program, and he is working towards his Certified Financial Planner certification.
Through his time at Purdue, Conor learned how to assess the risk tolerance of a client and develop a portfolio to match, He participated in the financial planning club where he created holistic financial plans, and he learned about the importance of sticking to a financial plan in order to grow wealth. Conor created savings and investing models that help remove emotion from the wealth building process.
Conor spends his free time traveling with family and friends, teaching youth sports, and playing golf on weekends. He lives in Westport, CT
Christina George joined August Wealth Advisors in April 2020 as a dedicated Client Services Associate. Christina has over 23 years of experience in retail and wholesale banking and finance, lending, insurance, investments, business ownership, retail management and business planning, assisting clients, advisors and firms with their goals
Previously Christina worked with Stratos Wealth Partners as an administrative assistant helping advisors to transition over both individual and business clients and their assets, while working with multiple custodians and platforms. In addition, she helped create an alternate investment process for the company.
Lisa delivers outstanding client service stemming from her 28-year career in the publishing, financial, and non-profit fields. She has served corporate clients through problem solving, audience/marketing development, database building, and training and development.
Lisa attended the University of Grenoble in France and graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Business Management with concentrations in International Finance and Marketing.
She loves to travel with family and friends, enjoys skiing, gardening, and her two dogs. She is also active in philanthropic causes and volunteers her time with animal rescue groups. She and her husband Kevin, raised their two children in Port Jefferson, NY and Stamford, CT.
